“MC Xander is by far the most musical, and for me the most talented beat-boxer out there. His live show is mesmerizing, layer upon layer of sound all from the same pair of lungs. He is simply astonishing.” Eddy Temple-Morris – XFM
Using nothing more than his voice, a mic, an fx box and a loop-pedal, London’s MC Xander creates intricate, multi-layered music that never fails to amaze.
Beautiful choir-esque melodies mix with fat beatbox, growling dubby sub-bass and Xander’s conscious brand of lyricism. The sound he makes is so sonically rich and danceable, it is easy to forget it is all from the mouth.
‘I’m excited about this young lady [Neeta Sarl]… I’m going to leave my job as a radio presenter, start up a label, make her my first signing and make her a star.’ – Bobby Friction, BBC Asian Network
London-based live act Polaroid 85 fuse haunting vocals, deep bass, intricate orchestral layers and glitchy electronics to create a kaleidoscopic musical experience. Their soulful, keys-driven compositions are a textured, sonic expedition through jazz, liquid drum’n’bass, trip-hop, broken-beat, world, classical and folk music.
