Formerly known as Kalakuta Millionaires, Lakuta is a global collaboration fusing jazz, funk, soul and all of the most rhythmic ends of the musical spectrum into an irresestible live spectacle. With members hailing from Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Malaysia, Spain and the UK, the 10-piece ensemble are one of the finest in the country and we can’t wait to have them.

Jujurock is a guitar led fire-starting instrumental quartet cooking up a potent blend of vibrant African cross-rhythms, heavily influenced by gritty funk rock elements and blues. As loud and intricate as a band twice its size and quite unlike any other you’ve witnessed before.

The Blueswater are an award-winning act from Edinburgh who bring the sounds of gritty old-school rhythm and blues, drawing inspiration specifically from the Chicago blues style of Chess records, building guitar riffs and harmonica solos around a tight rhythm section.

Keen-eared party power provided by DJ Bossaphonik Dan, weho’ll be touching on: Afrobeat, highlife, soukous, Ethio-jazz, Latin jazz, Latin hip hop, cumbia, Balkan beats, klezmer, Arabian fusion, electro-swing, soul-jazz and nu-jazz.


Festival legend Conrad Olende will be showcasing the finest floor shakers from Musn’t Grumble Productions and Dom Servini of legendary North London label Wah Wah 45s will be looking after you in the living room. Get cosy.
